ADA or the Allahabad Development Authority is now officially known as Prayagraj Development Authority. PDA is a housing development authority in the judicial capital city of Allahabad, officially known as Prayagraj. The metropolitan city is located close to Triveni Sangam which is the three-river confluence of the Ganges, Yamuna and Saraswati rivers. Over the years, the city has grown to accommodate over 1.5 million residents across its 365 square kilometers of land, with a population density of 4,200 per square kilometer. As the city grew, the Prayagraj Development Authority was formed in 1974, following the constitution of the Uttar Pradesh Development Act of 1973.
